To promote Lattitudes decking and see the employees who sell and move his high quality product, hockey legend Bobby Orr stopped in at Ricci Lumber. For over 2 hours he signed anything and everything that fans brought to the store. His smile and laughter brightened the store. In fact 2 minutes after he left our operation for another engagement, the store went completely black when the electricity went out. Proof his personality is still electric!!!

After going missing for a few years from Ricci Lumber, Santa decided to make his return appearance this year.  Though he was just coming to get some building materials for his North Pole Chalet, the possibility of meeting children thrilled him and he stayed for a few hours.  After loading up his sleigh with lumber from the yard, he sat in a chair of honor and greeted many families. The real story here were the smiles  he brought to all of them.

Merry Christmas from all of us at Ricci

With a little delay for the Valentine's day gala because of a winter storm, the breakfast meeting was held at Area Kitchen Centre's show room a week late. Still over 40 people attended in the some what warm early morning of Feb 21st, 2007. It was a great gathering with plenty to eat and even better conversation. These pictures should tell the story.

So we threw a little twist in year three and took a Mexican Theme for the party. The funny part is the twist was on us as Mother Nature threw a tropical downpour on top of us. Still the night became the biggest event in our 49 year history as over 400 guests and 44 vendor crowded under tents and buildings to keep dry; The night ended with Ricci Lumber giving away an all expense paid vacation for two to the Isle of Navida, Mexico. Congrats to Mike Nichols Contracting.

Images and fun from our 2nd annual Customer Appreciation Night in September 2005. With over 300 guests and 36 vendors, the night was overwhelming success. Many thanks to all those who attended or worked into that September Evening. We raised over $5000 for Hurricane Katrina during the event at the Employee Dunking booth and with generous contributions from our customers.

Our first annual Customer appreciation night in September 2004. The night was warm, the drinks were cold and boy was that band cooking. Wonderful food and friends made this a night to remember. The guest list read like a who's who of the Seacoast's best builders. Our vendors were overwhelmed with the turnout and totally enjoyed the evening. To bad we all had to work the next day

Santa Visits Ricci 2004    Click to View

We were so lucky to have Santa stop by in 2004 for a short visit. Though we couldn't keep him out of the eggnog, he did take the time to have a seat and listen to all the neighbourhood kids read their lists. He told management his reason for stopping by was that many of the employees were not good that year, so he wanted to give them a chance to redeem themselves. Ten minutes later when no one on the list matched the names, he looked at his delivery scroll and realised he had the wrong lumber yard. Typical sleigh driver!

Our third trip in three years to the Northeastern Retail Lumbermans Association trade show in Boston. A great group of builders that brought back new ideas, many memories and a full stomach. Though there are no pictures of the show itself, the pictures will show we still did a bit of learning even during dinner at Anthony's Pier 4.

On a cold day in early February, a cast of 45 set out for Boston with one thing in mind, check out the show. The NRLA was in full swing, with the newest products and largest display floor ever. After a full day on the show floor, the contractors and Ricci Employees enjoyed a fulfilling meal at Anthony's Pier 4, while learning about some new products from Boise Cascade.
